Tech Stack

Updated August 2026 · Nabee Studio

A tech stack is the set of technologies a product is built with — the languages, frameworks, and services that run from the interface down to the database and hosting. The stack shapes how fast a product can grow, how easy it is to maintain, and who can work on it later.

Why does the tech stack matter when hiring a studio?

The stack affects your long-term cost and freedom. A sensible, common stack is easy to maintain and to hand to other developers; an obscure one can lock you in. It also determines how well a product scales as more people use it.

At Nabee, stack choices are made for your product's needs and its future, not for novelty. Because one team owns strategy through ship, the same people picking the stack are the ones living with it through build and care — so there is no incentive to choose something hard to maintain.

A concrete example

Nabee builds native mobile apps like Metro X and web platforms like Toree. Those are different stacks for different jobs — timing-critical native code versus a browser-based booking platform — and each is chosen to fit the product rather than forced into one preferred toolset. A metronome and a booking site have almost nothing in common under the hood, and pretending otherwise would compromise one of them.

What makes a good tech stack choice?

A good choice favors technologies that are widely used, well documented, and actively maintained, so hiring and support stay realistic for years. It should fit the product's real demands — timing, scale, offline use, integrations — without dragging in complexity the project will never need. Because the team that picks the stack at Nabee is the same one that builds and maintains it, there is no incentive to chase something novel for its own sake; the goal is a foundation that is still easy to live with long after launch.

Common questions

Do I need to understand the tech stack myself?
Not deeply. But it helps to know the stack is common and maintainable, so you are not locked into one vendor. We explain the choices in plain language.
Can I switch developers later if I know the stack?
A common, well-documented stack makes that much easier. Choosing maintainable technology protects your freedom down the line.
Who chooses the tech stack?
At Nabee the team that builds and maintains the product chooses it, based on your needs — not on what is trendy.
