My Permit Pass: a driving-education platform that teaches the why

Updated August 2026 · Nabee Studio

My Permit Pass is a driving-education platform built end to end by Nabee Studio. It pairs realistic DMV-style practice questions with an AI tutor that explains the rule behind every answer, in five languages, on a one-payment model. Nabee built the brand, the site, and the entire learning engine.

The problem

Most permit-prep tools hand out answer dumps: memorize the letter, pass the quiz, forget the rule. That gets some people through the test but leaves gaps in the understanding that actually keeps new drivers safe.

It also leaves out anyone who does not study comfortably in English. The goal was a product that teaches the why behind each rule and does it in the learner's own language.

What we built

Nabee built the brand, the site, and the whole learning engine — question delivery, an AI tutor, five languages, and a one-payment business model.

How was it built?

One team at Nabee owned the whole arc — from idea and strategy through brand, design, build, and ship — with no account managers or middle layers.

Idea & strategy

The strategy was to make the product the pitch: let people answer real questions and see the AI tutor explain them before creating an account, and to treat understanding — not just a passing score — as the outcome.

Brand & design

Nabee designed the identity and the interface around a single flow that moves a visitor from a three-question demo, to a free account, to full access, on one page.

Build

Full-stack engineering delivered the question engine, the AI tutor integration, internationalization across five languages, payments, and SEO — all on one backend.

Ship & maintain

The web product is live and maintained by the same team, with native Android and Apple apps in the pipeline on the same backend the web product runs today.

Where it stands

My Permit Pass is live on the web. It teaches with realistic DMV-style questions and state-specific handbooks — on the order of 1,000 questions per state — updated for 2026.

The AI tutor explains every answer, the full experience ships in five languages, and access is a single payment with no subscription. Native Android and Apple apps are in the pipeline.

It explains the rule behind each question in plain language, in real time, so you learn why an answer is correct instead of memorizing which letter to pick.
How many languages does My Permit Pass support?
Five — English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Russian — as complete experiences rather than translated buttons.
Is there a subscription?
No. My Permit Pass uses a one-payment model with checkout, entitlements, and access windows built in-house.
